Sing along with NOC
The Northumberland Orchestra and Choir invites you to its sing-along concert called Christmas In Northumberland on Dec. 3.
An evening of traditional Christmas music — evoking all the best of the holidays, from Sugar Plum Fairies to horse-drawn sleights and jingling bells — will make up the program at Cobourg's Trinity United Church to get you into the spirit of the season.
“This concert is a collection of music that has come to be popularly associated with the Christmas season,” said president Jeff Mitchell, mentioning Rutter's Nativity Carol, Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite and Anderson's Christmas Festival (a sing-along number).
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. at Trinity (284 Division St.) for the 7:30 p.m. concert.
Tickets are $28 for adults, $25 for seniors, $12 for students and $60 for a family.
They are available at the door, and in advance from the Victoria Hall Concert Hall box office (905-372-2210), Furby House Books in Port Hope, and on-line at www.northumberlandmusic.ca/tickets.
