YMCA meeting planned for Oct. 26
A public meeting to assess community needs and access to programs and activities is a step along the way to the possibility of building and operating a new YMCA facility on the grounds of the Cobourg Community Centre.
The town and the Y are inviting community groups and members of the public to participate in an Oct. 26 facilitated public meeting that is part of the joint needs assessment they are conducting as the first phase of a formal feasibility study.
The meeting runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Columbus Community Centre (232 Spencer St. E., Cobourg). It includes a presentation by consultants on their preliminary findings, followed by round-table break-out sessions.
Anyone interested in participating is asked to pre-register by contacting Alyssa Bevan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
