Gift from the Heart 0

February is just around the corner and once again the Northumberland Dental Hygiene Clinic in Cobourg will be taking part in the national Gift from the Heart day on Feb. 9. For the fifth year, the clinic will open its doors as well as staff members’ hearts to those who are financially unable to access dental hygiene care to enable working individuals with no dental insurance and who are in reasonably good health to receive oral care. Mary Ito, a registered dental hygienist and owner of the Northumberland Dental Hygiene Clinic at 297 Division St., will be opening her doors from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 9 and will see people of all ages. To make an appointment please call 289-2520-0232 by Jan. 31. When the Gift from the Heart movement began five years ago, only 11 businesses took part across Canada. This year 50 businesses in Ontario alone will participate. Above: Ito prepares to take care of Lisa Pratt.
