Lavender Chamber Ensemble is a new collective of professional, classically trained musicians from the Durham, Northumberland, Quinte, and Peterborough areas. Under the inspired leadership of Tak Kwan, concertmaster of NOC and PSO, the ensemble delivers high quality chamber music performances. The group also has a keen interest in the next generation of performers. Selected young artists will be given the opportunity to work and perform with the group to develop their skills in this exciting and demanding genre of music making. Don't miss their performance of Dvorak's Piano Quintet in A and Schubert's Quintet in C, with guest cellist, !6 year old Rachel Kraus. Saturday, November 15, 7 pm, Trinity United Church, 284 Division St., Cobourg. Tickets available online: $22 in advance, $10 for students, or $25 at the door. Call 905-885-4885.
