The Grade 3/4 class at Terry Fox has just completed a very successful Penny Drive in support of Free the Children. After watching Spencer West during his walk from Edmonton to Calgary, the class was inspired to collect pennies in their school. The money raised has been sent to the Free the Children organization based out of Toronto. Twenty-five dollars worth of pennies will provide clean water for life for one person. The children went above and beyond expectations by raising $431. Class members are Justin Simmons, Katy Farnum, Chris Howes, Matea Gomes, Badri Widaatalla, Jake Traill, Ayden Fleming, Brayton Penfold, Avery Speksnijder, Asher Knight, Breann Guite, Georgia Callaghan, David Travis, Romanti Parker, Jack MacDonald, Dominic Varette-Oosting, Katrina Badali, Maegan Davey, Justice Jacobs, Asher Knight and Mrs. Leguard. Absent from the photo are Pheobe Haddad and Alex Lavergne.
