March 23rd, 2013 Championship Day for the CCHL. Novice Division “A Final” features Charlie Burge's Blue Canadian Tire team (home) versus Carl Fletcher's White Canadian Tire team (away). It was a hard fought battle all season long between these two teams and it came down to the final game to decide the winner for the season. The opening period came and went with no scoring and only one penalty to Jake Traill for hooking. Even with a man down the Blue team held off the White’s attempt to score. Part way through the second period Owen Boyd opened the scoring with the assist going to Cole Curtis. What a goal, top corner, right over the goalie’s head. Period two ends with the Blue team ahead 1-0. Mid way through the third Nolan Donovan passed the puck up to Chance Rowe and Chance scored the second goal of the game. The crowd erupted and the kids high-fived each other. The White team tried to mount a come back but they just could not get the puck past the Blue goaltender, Brayden Burge, who ended up with a 2-0 shutout to end the season. Congratulations Blue Team, what an amazing season you had.

Most Improved Player Award went to Tyler Crosty.
Most Dedicated Player Award went to Owen Boyd.
Sportsmanship Award went to Chancelor Rowe.
Jake Traill won the Ken Black Award for Defenceman of the year.
