Tickets still available for auxiliary's roast beef dinner this Sunday

The Legion had a good turnout for the Rusty Zipper Band. Thanks to Tom Heffernan for having his birthday party at the Legion. Happy birthday and many more.

Upcoming events for November and December:

* There are still lots of tickets for the Sunday, Nov. 29 Ladies Auxiliary roast beef dinner with tea, coffee and dessert at 5:30 p. m. Tickets are $10 advance sales only. Call Aldene Cooper at 905-885-8202 to reserve or see the club room bar for tickets.

* The entertainment on Saturday, Dec. 5 is Bill Young "DJ" from 7:30 to 11:30 p. m..

* Cribbage tournament at the Cobourg Legion downstairs Saturday, Dec. 12, two-person teams cost is $10 a team. Register at 11 a. m., play at noon. Contact Rob or Cathy Brown at 905-372-8388.

* The Happy Gang plays cards, such as euchre or cribbage, at 1 p. m. every Tuesday, upstairs at the Cobourg Legion. Open to the public.

* Bid euchre is on the second and fourth Thursday of every month, beginning at 7 p. m., in the hall upstairs at the Cobourg Legion.

* Meat draws are held every Friday at 5 p. m. with Friday night snacks from 5 to 7 p. m. Come out and enjoy. Saturday meat draws at 3 p. m. Come out and try your luck and everyone is welcome.

* We are still looking for players for the shuffleboard league. We play every Sunday at 1 p. m.

You can rent the Cobourg Legion Hall for receptions, weddings and private parties. Catering is available. The hall is air conditions and is wheelchair accessible. Please contact Shelley Thompson at 905-372-6554.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 is located at 136 Orr St., in Cobourg. We are open 7 days a week at 11 a. m. to 11 p. m. on Monday; 11 a. m. to 10 p. m. Tuesday through Thursday; 11a.m to midnight on Friday; 11 a. m. to 11 p. m. on Saturday; and 1 to 7 p. m. on Sunday.
