COBOURG — The east-coast ferry expected to arrive in Cobourg around Friday will in fact arrive later due to the weather, says Cobourg spokesperson Ashley Purdy.
It will arrive around 5 p.m. Saturday and be docked overnight in Cobourg, she stated in an e-mail.
The ferry, the Dartmouth III, that once provided a service to major Nova Scotia cities, is en route to Toronto.
After serving from 1978 to 2016, the ship was retired and sold to a private company. It has been making the trek from the east coast towards Cobourg where it will be used by the Toronto Island Transit Service, states a published report.
Winds are slowing its progress.
