Cooler weather brings the salmon out in Port Hope
Anglers lined the banks of the Ganaraska River on Saturday. It was the busiest day for fishing along the Ganaraska River on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Port Hope, Ont. Anglers flocked to the area as the colder temperatures brought the salmon up the river by the thousands. Anglers were lined along the banks of the river catching fish. Every few seconds a angler was catching fish along the river south of Walton Street. Keeping an eye on the anglers were representatives of the Port Hope Police and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Pete Fisher/Northumberland Today/Postmedia Network
