Members' work on display at Colborne Art Gallery
Colborne Art Gallery member artists' own artwork is featured in a group exhibition titled Past, Present and Future, on display through Dec. 12.
Many of these artists consider it important, at this time of year, to assess the past and look at what has been accomplished — then to gaze ahead and plan what to do next. But the process includes a judicious look at where one is right now and how he or she got here. For many artists, this is a constant mental exercise, as they attempt to size up their own creative work or find common threads amongst so much which may seem disconnected.
The Heritage Gallery room hosts an exhibition presented by the Heritage Cramahe Committee titled Northumberland Went to War. Admission is free, and gallery hours are Thursday to Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
The Colborne Art Gallery is a collective of artists who have shared ideas and presented artwork in Colborne for almost 20 years. Artists who are interested in participating in the co-operative are encouraged to contact Jillian Roos-Markowitz at 905-373-6239.
