HAMILTON TOWNSHIP -

Three Cobourg high school students were taken to hospital after their car collided with a tree on Thursday.

The students were reportedly driving down Alnwick Hill Road when the driver lost control and collided with a tree.

One of the students managed to climb out of the car and wave down a passing motorist on Harwood Road.

Baltimore Fire Department, three ambulances and OPP responded to the scene.

It’s believed none of the young people sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. There was, however, serious damage to the passenger side door of the car.
